ARTIST STATEMENT

When I look out at the world around me

I see a vision of colours, forms, and lines and I formulate these into an abstract image that then sits deep within my subconscious.

Through the process of pencil, whether it be lead or digital, I draw freely until something on the page resonates with me. My introspective exploration culminates into an expression that touches on the human condition, influenced by my own life experiences and challenges conveyed through the vibrant and dynamic usage of colour and line onto a canvas.

As an artist based in the city of London and Influenced by the likes of Miro, Picasso, Kandinsky and Mondrian, I am drawn to infusing what feels right at the time into each piece I create.

Along with my appreciation for colour and line, I love white space, because it’s open and it breathes and adds dimension to my language. My goal always is for the viewer to fully immerse themselves in their very own personal experiences and perspectives.

My unique artistic language aims to tell a story from my own life to then initiate images, memories, and conversations that hopefully spark a deeper understanding of the complexities of our very existence, the beauty and chaos of the human experience.
